Educated Professionals
Jennifer Hitchcock obtained her undergraduate and Maters degrees in Environmental Horticulture in 1999 and 2005 respectfully from the University of Florida. She has worked extensively in teaching with the UF IFAS Extension service in Orange and Volusia counties 2000-2007. And later was a sales arborist for a private tree care company in Chicago, Illinois from 2007-2011. She later returned to her Florida roots in 2012 and has been an independent consulting arborist ever since.

Urban Tree Doctor has grown quickly due to the end result in mind; the tree’s needs. Over the years we added services like soil testing, deep root feeding, soil conditioners, root collar excavation, and root aeration in a combination for 1-2 year plan to allow the tree to recover. Originally, Jennifer only provided consultations but when the growing concern of the right materials, method, and who was going to implement the tree health care program, Jennifer decided to develop custom plant health care programs herself to perform the job right that many were not doing at all. Hence, how Urban Tree Doctor became the expert in improving health in trees, tree survival during/post construction, and older tree restoration.
